Let’s get Brewed.
March 2025
There comes a time when after a very long day, the only remedy is a piping hot cup of tea. This month, I visited the Spice and Tea Exchange in Newport, Rhode Island. I was educated on the health benefits that are possible by incorporating tea into your daily routine but also allowing myself to have a moment of pause and pleasure, one cup at a time.
This month, I’m diving into the benefits of tea:
Antioxidant Powerhouse: Tea is packed with antioxidants like which combat stress and protect your cells from damage. This can lead to a lower risk of chronic diseases.
Heart Health: Regular tea consumption is linked to improved cardiovascular health. It can help lower bad cholesterol levels, improve blood vessel function, and reduce the risk of heart disease.
Hydration Booster: Contrary to popular belief, tea contributes to your daily hydration needs. Staying well-hydrated is crucial for maintaining energy levels and overall health.
Digestive Aid: Herbal teas, like peppermint and ginger, can help soothe the digestive system. They reduce bloating, gas, and discomfort.
Immune Support: Tea provides various compounds that can strengthen your immune system. Herbal varieties such as elderberry, are particularly effective in fighting off illnesses.
Bonus, swap your sugar out for Monk Fruit Sweetener. It’s a natural alternative and it tastes great.
