Where do I even begin with the charming Colmar? This gem in the Alsace region of France is picturesque, stunning and just exudes romance which is why it’s my pick for February. The town is absolutely breathtaking as the colorful half timber homes are colorful and inviting but yet have preserved that medieval flair. It’s like turning the pages of a child’s fairytale as the narrow cobblestone roads are situated on top of canals that intricately weave through the town. Maybe it’s just me, but I would jump at the chance to rent a boat and float through “Petite Venise” sipping on a glass of crisp Alsatian wine. Then I would finish my day by strolling, shopping and eating my way around the cozy streets. Who wouldn’t want to try a tarte flambée? I’m in, are you?
